How will we Mentor?
We will create clear and precise goals together.
Establishing goals that are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely.
Once goals are agreed upon, we’ll create a plan together to breakdown into achievable tasks.
This is essential to ensure we gain small wins and therefore build momentum and have small victories.
Example of Dave:
Dave has a personal goal of purchasing a new home for his family.
We ask him which home?
Be specific …we go onto a relator’s app and check homes and prices, and he chooses the actual
Home of his dreams; realistic of course and not a 27-million-dollar mansion.
Once we nail down the new home, we’ll do the following steps:
- We calculate the down payment
- We calculate how much he needs to save per month
- We calculate how long this will take
Once we have the following completed, we ask Dave to itemize his budget and savings.
We will create a plan showing that their maybe sacrifices that need to be made in his current lifestyle,
But if he wants to achieve it, he can do it.
This is similar to the Spartan Paradox; unless you have a hard date on the calendar, it’s unlikely you will do the work and commit to it.
This applies to every walk of life.
A boxer doesn’t train really hard until he has a boxing match date confirmed.
Same for students that don’t commit to studying or completing homework unless they are
told it needs to be returned by a certain date and the consequences of tardiness.
The same is for our lives.
Once you commit to a date, we become focused towards accomplishing it.
This methodology is key in achieving our goals together.
